📗 SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)

Topic What Students & Parents Need to Know
Format The SAT is now fully digital. Students take it on a laptop or tablet using the College Board’s Bluebook™ app. The test takes about 2 hours.
How It Works The test is adaptive—the second set of questions adjusts to the student’s performance on the first.
When to Take It The SAT is offered several times each year. Students should check the College Board website for the most up-to-date dates and deadlines.
Registration Students must register online through the College Board. Deadlines are usually about 1 month before the test date.
Scores Scores are released about 2–4 weeks after the test through the student’s College Board account.
Why Take It The SAT is widely used for college admissions and scholarships. Even though many colleges are now test-optional, strong scores can still help.
