📗 SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)
| Topic | What Students & Parents Need to Know |
|---|---|
| Format | The SAT is now fully digital. Students take it on a laptop or tablet using the College Board’s Bluebook™ app. The test takes about 2 hours. |
| How It Works | The test is adaptive—the second set of questions adjusts to the student’s performance on the first. |
| When to Take It | The SAT is offered several times each year. Students should check the College Board website for the most up-to-date dates and deadlines. |
| Registration | Students must register online through the College Board. Deadlines are usually about 1 month before the test date. |
| Scores | Scores are released about 2–4 weeks after the test through the student’s College Board account. |
| Why Take It | The SAT is widely used for college admissions and scholarships. Even though many colleges are now test-optional, strong scores can still help. |
