Cash for College  - FAFSA & Dream Act Line by Line Application Workshops - Scheduled on Tuesday, October 6th, and Wednesday, October 7th.

Our seniors (UP & CIMS) have the opportunity to sign up for a specific workshop/s for either of the dates.. I have included the Google form links for our seniors to sign up. The sessions are broken up into 1 1/2 sessions throughout each of the days,  Students will need to get their teacher's permission to attend.
The average time to fill out the F.A. application usually takes between 45 -55 minutes, so I extended session times to an hour and a half, in case students have trouble signing in, have questions, or any special circumstances, and to be able to cover each of the questions in a step by step process. We will also have a Financial Aid Advisor available for more confidential one on one questions, but students need to let me know in advance that they are interested (It is one of the questions in the Google form).
If students participate they will be entered into the Cash For College Scholarship - drawing. We had a CIMS senior win $1000 last year.

FYI - students can fill out what they can and do not need to submit their applications to qualify, they only need to participate in the workshops (Work on their financial aid applications, ask questions, sit in if they want to review what they had already completed, etc.), and fill out a survey. Students have to get their teacher's permission for the session/s they sign up for, and are welcome to come in and out of the session/s they signed up for.
